Procedures

When baby teeth are lost prematurely, the rest of the teeth may move around and occupy their space. Preserving the original space is important for the correct eruption of the permanent tooth.

When indicated and when the age of the child is appropriate, we will advise the use of a space regainer, an appliance designed to gently push the neighboring tooth back to its original position to free the space intended for the permanent.
